The preparatory workshop for the International Conference on Air Sovereignty, organized and supervised by the Ministry of Defense, with the participation of relevant parties, kicked off this morning in the capital, Tripoli. The workshop was

attended by the President of the Supreme Council of State, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chiefs of Staff of the Air Force and Air Defense, the Director of the Minister of Defense's Office, the Undersecretaries from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport, the Chief of Operations, the President of the Academy of Graduate Studies at the Ministry of Interior, as well as a group of Libyan army officers and representatives from several government agencies.

During his speech at the opening session, the Director of the Minister of Defense's Office stressed that the Ministry hosted and supported this conference due to its great importance related to the entity and sovereignty of the Libyan state and its control over its capabilities, and that the Ministry of Defense is moving steadily towards activating its military capabilities, to extend control over all land, sea and air borders, and to push all efforts aimed at achieving the goal. The second session of the workshop witnessed a review of the topics and proposals that will be discussed in the conference scheduled to be held in the coming period, where many observations and discussions were raised on these proposals by experts and specialists in the field of aviation and air navigation, as well as professors of international law.

Participants in the conference will be from relevant national participating parties and friendly and sister countries, which will give the conference an international dimension in participation and results.
It is noteworthy that the (International Conference on Air Sovereignty.. Reality and Challenges) is scheduled to be held in the second half of next February 2025 AD, with the attendance of many international institutions and organizations.
